Bradley Beach is Open and The Children have a new safe place.

The sun was up and ready to welcome the rebirth of a special place along the New Jersey Shore. The Mayor and members of The Bradley Beach NJ council officially reopened the Sergeant

Charles M. Bud Cozzens playground along the grand promenade where the ocean meets the street.

The Bradley Beach first-aid squad was on hand to show off their new 2013 ambulance and to pay respect to Sergeant Cozzens who was a life member of the squad as well as the local fire department before his death in the line of duty in 1964.

The people of Bradley Beach who were lucky and were spared a large amount of damage during Super Storm Sandy were very happy to see the grand reopening of the playground. The playground which did suffer major infrastructure damage as well as the outer support wall facing Ocean Avenue which was heavily damage due to the mass amount of water from this super storm is now open and a safe place for our children to come and play and to use their imagination said Council Member Salvatore A. Galassetti.

The Bradley Beach Public Works Department did a great job said Mayor Gary Engelstad under the leadership of Richard T. Bianchi, Jr. Operating Supervisor of Public Works and his men the Borough is open for business and this summer visitors will find safe clean beaches with Great Service and Amenities, like new clean restrooms, well trained lifeguards and great food Concisions.

Mayor Gary Engelstad Welcomes Everyone.
