Bradley Beach thinks Green but are Battiers better? We say Thank You to Bradley Beach for making our water and roads safer But we Think that a Rechargeable model would be better for cost and the human and environmental health.

What Bradley Beach PD used for a very long time.

Bradley Beach NJ Police now use this High Power LED Light inside a Traffic Cone But it runs on Alkaline Batterys.

This is what happens when a flare goes off in the trunk of a police car.

Road flares contain strontium nitrate, potassium perchlorate or potassium nitrate to provide energy needed for combustion. When road flares are left at a scene, these toxic substances can leech into the soil and enter the water supply. The human and environmental health issues are significant enough that California, among other states, has been forced to close many municipal water supply wells due to perchlorate contamination. Cities around the country are banning the use of incendiary road flares in favor of the more economical and environmentally friendly LED systems. One unused road flare on the side of a highway is enough to contaminate more than 300,000 gallons of water with perchlorate. In addition, when road flares are burned, nitrogen dioxide gas is released, polluting the atmosphere.

LED Safety Light Products (NOT WHAT BRADLEY BEACH HAS)

From the creators of the industry’s best selling Turboflare 360 and Proflare comes the ultimate LED safety light solution. Designed and developed by industry pioneers, the Totalflare LED safety light is the culmination of 10 years of leadership, innovation and field experience in the LED and electronic flare business.  The TotalFlare LED safety light system is the most technologically advanced day and night time replacement for hazardous incendiary road flares.

LED flaresRechargeable vs. Alkaline Battery Power

TotalFlare comes in two models: TFR Rechargeable or TFA Alkaline. The rechargeable model can be used for up to 20 hours before it needs to be docked for recharging. The Alkaline uses 5 "AA" batteries, and runs nearly 70 hours on the high "Fire Flicker" setting.

LED flaresLED Smart Charger System

Smart Charger for LEDThe state-of-the-art "Smart Charger" on our TFR Rechargeable model is contained in an impact-resistant form-fitted Smart Charger system, which can be trunk-mounted and hard-wired to the car battery. By using independent circuits for each TotalFlare unit, the Smart Charger identifies battery life and charges according to each unit's need, minimizing vehicle battery drain.

LED flaresProgrammable LED Flash Patterns

The TotalFlare unit contains a PIC (programmable integrated circuit) that allows for virtually any light pattern, including our proprietary "Fire Flicker" pattern that simulates the familiar incendiary road flares. Red LED is standard; amber, blue, green, white, and infrared LED's are also available by request. Whatever you plan to use our LED safety lighting for, we have a lighting pattern and color that will work for you.

LED flaresLED Light Plug Technology

TotalFlare's light plug is the size of an actual incendiary road flare, raised for optimal viewing, and is impact resistant. The base uses Tread-lock technology to ensure traction if the LED unit is run over. This makes it virtually impossible for TotalFlare to become a projectile like its competitors. The pictures below show an 18-ton fire truck rolling over a TotalFlare LED safety light. No damage was done to the LED unit! If the TotalFlare unit is run over, the light plug is depressed into the unit for protection, and then pops back up again.

LED flaresLED Light - Day and Night Time Visibility

LED flares by dayOnly TotalFlare provides true day and night time visibility. At night, the TotalFlare LED safety light can be seen for 2 miles horizontally and 10 miles from the air. With 48 LED's and enhanced daytime intensity, only TotalFlare is a proven daytime alternative to traditional road flares. Our optional "sunshields" (pictured at right) create even more day visibilty and feature a unique T-bar handle for ease of distribution and collection.
